Jesus himself disagreed with / abolished certain things from the Old Testament, and Christians are distinguished because we have both the Old and the New Testaments. And who said Christians only do good things because they might get into heaven? Jesus said “love your neighbour as you love yourself,” and that’s what many Christians truly believe in. Hey, it was published in the book. Why write it if you disagree, why worship the book if you disagree. And the funny thing is, the LGBT community still cannot marry the ones they love because of “Christian Ideals”. We had to fight a civil war to end slavery because of “Christian Ideals”. And how interracial couples weren’t allowed to marry each other until late in the 20th century. And even more hilarious than that, most of the founding fathers were atheist. So the americans pulled these “christian ideals” out from who knows where. Idolatry with the cross along with this book is pretty damn common. You may say you don’t personally do that, but by going to the churches, by funding them, you are in turn, supporting EVERYTHING stand for, not just what you believe in. Counterintuitive don’t you think? And are you christians really that vain? You think you’re the only religion that exists? I denounce the big three. All three equally. Do you speak for all christians now? That’s the thing, you got your box of crazies along with the good, decent Just like every other demographic in the world. Separate from the affiliation and you can speak for yourself. Stay in, and continue to believe the world is this happy go lucky place.

No one thinks Christianity is the only religion. You act like you’re superior, more and intelligent, and independent just because of what you believe, and that’s bullshit. Just because I’m Catholic, doesn’t mean I’m a dog of the church, or that I do things for the sole purpose of getting into heaven. Just because I’m a Christian, doesn’t mean that I agree with every word the Church has, or ever will speak. Yes, there are some things in the bible that I don’t agree with. However, in the 10 commandments, the core of the outlines for Christianity, It says to LOVE your God. It says to HONOR your mother and father. It says to LOVE your neighbor. I’m a Christian because I believe in the message of LOVE that the church can preach. Not the hate.
